The Secret to Getting a Taxi from Don Muang Airport to Downtown

So you’ve arrived at Don Muang Airport and have decided to get a taxi downtown, good choice. Upon exiting the airport, most people will follow the taxi signs that take you to a huge waiting room. You will be given a ticket, added to the end of a loooong queue of people, and on top of that, charged 50baht for using this less than exceptional system. Don’t be one of those people.

The quickest and smartest way to get a taxi is to simply go to departures on level 3 and flag a cab that’s just dropped off a departing passenger. No waiting for 30 minutes in a huge queue or paying an unnecessary fee of 50baht.

Be sure to tell your driver to turn on the meter. A taxi from Don Muang to downtown will cost you around 300baht, including the highway fees.
